The mission of West Coast Active Riders is to support and promote the riding abilities of show-jumping riders of all levels who compete primarily in the western United States. By providing Grand Prix riders with the experience and education of riding in International show-jumping competitions, West Coast Active Riders prepares high-performance athletes for the selection trials of International Championship level competitions such as the Olympics, the Pan American Games and the World Equestrian Games. Additionally, WCAR is actively committed to assisting outstanding Junior and Amateur riders through scholarships, showing stipends and competition opportunities. It is our hope that these opportunities will help more West Coast show-jumping riders realize their goals of competing at an International level.

Meritorious Riders
Each year, West Coast Active Riders awards the Meritorious Riders Scholarship comprised of showing and stabling fees at California horse shows to two deserving young riders. These scholarships, awarded on the basis of academic and athletic merit, enable up-and-coming riders who are dedicated to their education the opportunity to compete in A-Level horse shows.

This year's winners have been selected and will be highlighted at the $75,000 HITS Grand Prix on Sunday, March 5th.

EquiSales
Recognizing the need for quality sport horse auctions in the United States, Heather Fogarty and Dale Harvey developed a Sport Horse Auction Company, Equisales International. Heather and Dale’s years of combined experience in the Hunter/Jumper world make them the ideal duo to bring both buyers and sellers of quality horses a fabulous opportunity to connect. The first auction is on Saturday March 25, 2006 at 3 p.m. in conjunction with the Palms Classic Horse Show.

EquestriSol recommends that buyers make a long week-end of it! All horses will be available for viewing and trying on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before the sale on Saturday afternoon. Get to know the horse and be ready to bid come Saturday.
